What J&R Plumbing, Heating and Air Does Well
- 60+ years of continuous local operation Founded in 1965, J&R has been answering calls in Kaufman County longer than any other contractor in our network. That tenure reflects the kind of sustained community trust that online reviews alone cannot replicate.
- Forney Chamber of Commerce Award 2025 Community recognition from the local Chamber carries a different weight than platform reviews. It reflects peer and business community standing, not just customer satisfaction scores.
- Minority/woman/veteran-owned This combination is unusual in the HVAC industry and reflects a genuine community investment profile. Veteran-owned contractors in particular tend to carry accountability standards consistent with military service backgrounds.
- Multi-trade capability: HVAC and plumbing J&R handles both HVAC and plumbing, which matters when a service call reveals a cross-trade problem. Fewer handoffs between contractors reduces cost and coordination time.

Where a Different Contractor Might Serve You Better
J&R is not the right call for every job. We’d rather tell you that than send you to the wrong contractor.
High review volume for confidence: J&R has around 73 Google reviews. If you rely heavily on review count to feel confident in a hire, Infinity Texas Air (1,400+) or Absolute Air AC & Heating (620) have far more logged reviews across a larger customer base.
Full system replacement with financing: If a new system requires spreading cost over time, Bolton Heating & Air leads our network with 0% financing options that J&R does not specifically advertise.
Ductless mini-split specialist: Grizzly Heating & Air (formerly Grizzly) carries deeper ductless experience. If your home runs ductless or you’re adding a mini-split, start there.
Why We Include J&R in Our Network
We don’t include every HVAC company operating in Forney. Every contractor in our network clears four criteria before we’ll match them with a homeowner:
- 4.7★ or higher on Google with a sustained review history, not a short-term spike
- Active TDLR ACR license, verified through the state database at the time of inclusion
- Local base of operations in Kaufman County, not a regional call center dispatching whoever is closest
- Independently verifiable credibility signals: BBB standing, years in business, owner accountability
J&R meets all four. Their 60-year operating history and Chamber Award put them among the most credentialed community members in our network. You can verify their TDLR license yourself using our free lookup tool.
